NDA Announces First Class of Certified Demolition Supervisors

The National Demolition Association today announced the first 27 individuals to earn the new Certified Demolition Supervisor (CDS) certification. The new certifications will allow these individuals to demonstrate their expertise in demolition and provide them and their companies with a competitive edge in the job market. NDA had 47 individuals participate in the beta test pass/fail exam.
“We are proud to recognize these individuals for their commitment to professional development,” said James Milburn, the 2023 president of the NDA. “Earning a certification from NDA demonstrates that these individuals have the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today’s demanding workplace.”
“The CDS certification allows demolition professionals to elevate themselves, their employers, and the demolition industry as a whole by formalizing our minimum requirements to be considered a competent and professional demolition supervisor.”

NDA’s CDS certification recognizes individuals who have demonstrated competence in all aspects of demolition, including safety, environmental, operations, and people management. This designation promotes safe and quality practice through its ongoing requirements for professional growth in the demolition industry. Testing and application window open now through December 8. NDA encourages demolition contractors to consider employee applications to take an upcoming exam.
